Our April 2017 trip to Washington DC has been approved! We are currently compiling all of the details and official information to distribute to students and families. For now, here is an overview of information to know as we begin the school year!
Mandatory Trip Information Meeting: Tuesday, September 13th, PNHS Performing Arts Center
Dates of Trip: Thursday April 20 - Sunday April 23
Cost of Trip: $605, paid in 5 installments throughout the year
First Deposit: $125, due September 26th, first come first serve
Fundraising: Fundraising will include 'Large Group Fundraisers,' in which income will be split among all attending the trip, 'Small Group Fundraisers,' in which income will be split among those that contribute to the fundraiser, and 'Individual Fundraisers,' such as Hilliards Chocolate sales, in which students will earn whatever they personally sell.
Trip Highlights (Tentative, as the itinerary is still being solidified):
-Adjudicated performance for curricular ensembles
-Performance at a monument in the National Mall (ensembles to be determined)
-Illumination Tour of the National Mall
-Kings Dominion Amusement Park
-Dinner at Medieval Times
-Time at various Smithsonian museums
-Possibly a tour of the Capitol Building
-6 meals (3 breakfasts, 3 dinners) included in price
